Head of Sales and Marketing

Copernico is looking for a leader who will drive its impressive growth: an experienced, results-driven Head of Sales and Marketing - to be based in Milan’s Corporate HQ – who will report directly to the CEO & Founder and will accelerate the platform’s expansion further, making a significant contribution to Copernico’s innovative business model.


Responsibilities

  • Work alongside CEO & Founder to design Copernico’s go-to-market strategy and develop Company’s service offering further
  • Lead, motivate and support the Sales and Marketing teams to deliver Company go-to-market strategy
  • Design marketing plan to meet sales generation targets and foster and capitalize on existing brand equity
  • Design and implement an engaging external communication plan, including event organization and media relations & social media activities
  • Partner with CEO & Founder and Business Development Team in relation to business development initiatives, with a focus on corporations
  • Manage sales and marketing expenditure, monitor returns on marketing spend and track ROI, based on traffic and conversion
  • P&L ownership and accountability, related to delivery of marketing and sales targets for buildings managed and Company as a whole
  • Provide intel and review weekly sales and marketing initiatives’ performance to ascertain progress is in line with budget’s milestones and consult with senior management to review performance
  • Promote metrics-driven analyses of performance (channels, consumer, behavior)
  • Manage and engage growing sales and marketing teams (15+ people) and oversee teams’ transition to support Company growth, with a focus on development and retention of team members
  • Identify, when necessary, the best pipeline generation tools and oversee their implementation, championing adoption within marketing and sales teams and sharing demand generation best practices
  • Implement sales processes and procedures to drive Company growth

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role in B2B services, experience within collaborative economy and/or with a subscription business model is a bonus
  • Proven track record in driving lead generation and sales and marketing teams
  • Proven budget management expertise
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent customer relationships and negotiation skills
  • Hands on analytical skills and quantitative approach
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, CRM practices and principles, common A/B testing methodologies and tools are a must
  • Fluency in Italian and English is a must
